Sandbridge Vacation

Sandbridge Vacation
Sept 14-22 2012
Sandbridge Virginia, near Virginia Beach
Our first family vacation and the kids' first trip to the beach. Beck loved rolling in the sand, wading in the waves, and the many playgrounds. Liv surprisingly loved the beach. She was not weirded out by the sand at all.
We went with the Shockleys. We left at 5 pm. Stopped halfway to sleep in a hotel. Drove the rest of the way the next morning and arrived about 2pm. On our way home we left at 7am and drove straight through. We stopped twice at playgrounds and stopped for meals. The kids did wonderful in the car.
Jess and I made almost all of our food before we left and packed it in coolers. We mostly just heated stuff up for meals. It was awesome to not have to cook all week!

On our way to our "trip"

Check out my crab!

Beck is very into holding Sissy right now.

She loves her blankie. She sleeps with it now. She gets very excited to hold it- she squeezes it and holds it up to her face.

Fall Festival- last year I was due with Liv during the week of Fall Festival- she came a week later...

Last trip to Holiday World for the year

Trying to hang on!

Beck wanted her to wear shoes

Peek a boo!

Still pooping on the potty whenever Mommy takes her

Sad I know... but I wanted to remember what her tongue looked like after it was clipped

Showing off her new tongue! haha

In the waiting room at the ENT office before getting her tongue clipped. Daddy took her in bc Mommy was feeling a bit queazy about it. She laid in Daddy's lap. The nurse held her head while the dr quickly clipped it. She cried from being held down, but it didn't fluctuate while being clipped. She bled a little. She was in and out in 5 min and returned to the waiting room with a smile. So glad we didn't put her under!!!!!

One of my favorite parts of the day... Liv is up first in the mornings. We get about 30 min together before Beck wakes up.

She's still napping 9-10:30 and 1-3. Still nursing 4 times a day. Eating fruits and veggies and grains only. Water or breastmilk to drink.

Indy Summer 2012

We went to Indy for 7 days in May. The kids and I went up on Tuesday while Daddy stayed to work. We had to take the van to Indy for some body work. Daddy joined us Fri-Mon. We celebrated Cousin Luke's 1st birthday and later that night we welcomed Cousin Seth into the world! Papa Gregor is a great host so we enjoyed our vaca!
